Astorflex Brandstory

In the shoe factory in the Italian town of Mantua, the family business Astorflex has been making handmade shoes since the beginning of the 19th century. Under the direction of sixth-generation owner Fabio Travenzoli, some of the world's finest chukka boots have been created that are both sustainably and responsibly produced.

After the end of the First World War, a new type of lace-up boot came into fashion, the manufacturing process of which was soon on everyone's lips: welt sewing. Astorflex has been working with exactly this technique since 1984. The resulting models are called chukka boots or desert boots. With their casual style and the somewhat coarser-looking lacing, they became versatile and quickly popular.
