C.P. Company Brandstory

In 1971 Massimo Osti founded the Chester Perry brand. The name is borrowed from the factory where Bristow, the hero of the Frank Dickens comic, worked.

Massimo benefited from his experience as a graphic designer and immediately created a distinctive style of communication for his company: the toy car, the posters with pop graphics and other promotional materials, as a gift for the shopkeepers.
In 1978, the English clothing brands Chester Barry and Fred Perry simultaneously sued the designer from Bologna for using their first and last name. Massimo then decided to cast Chester Perry in C.P. to rename the company.

This shorter and more mature name now marks the beginning of one of the most explosive and influential eruptions of creativity in the history of modern Italian fashion, making C.P. Company quickly became the most important brand for Italian intellectuals and artists.

For more than 50 years, the company has been evolving its signature hybrid style of well-known military, workwear and sportswear, combining it with the intensely researched and pioneering Italian fabric innovations.
