Moc Toe / Briar Oil Slick
The Moc Toe is an icon and one of the Red Wing classics. Introduced in 1953 as the ankle-high equivalent of the 877 Irish Setter, it has been one of the brand's most popular shoes ever since. The Moc Toe impresses with its striking moccasin seam, the cold-insulating Traction Tred sole, the Good Year construction and the beautiful Oro Legacy leather, which American hunters and farmers already appreciated back then. Whether for rough work or for everyday urban life, the predominantly handcrafted boot has its justification everywhere. A small side note: The term moc toe is a word alienation from the term moccasin, which means "sole" in the language of the Algonquin tribe.
